About the Artist
Elizebeth Tong was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and has lived in the South for most of her life. She has always been intrigued by three-dimensional art and unusual jewelry and started to make and sell brooches and earrings at the age of ten.
Elizebeth graduated with honors from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA degree in metals and jewelry and a minor in sculpture. She specializes in hand-fabrication, chasing and repousee, computer- aided design, unique finishing techniques, and designing custom jewelry and small scale sculpture pieces for clients.
Following her passion for adorning the body, she is also an accomplished henna and fibre artist. Elizebeth also creates oil paintings and two dimensional mixed media on canvas, and is an experienced photographer. She currently resides on a small farm near Athens, Georgia with her husband, two daughters, and a menagerie of animals.
