“Blessed be her memory. She was a beacon of care and thoughtfulness who endeared herself to her friends and community instantly. Who could coax a full growth of any green plant from the smallest mangled fragment. Who worked her fingers to the bone with multiple jobs to help me through high school. She spent years studying and working towards and getting her citizenship, and as her study partner I tell you, it's harder than any college level course on civics. Another small light in the world has flitted off. She travels on ahead of me. Blessed be those of us with memories of her.”
